On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its establishment, the center for development and support of talented children in the city of Burgas is proud to present its latest project in acting "Homo ludens The Playing Man".
The head of the school will be the prominent Bulgarian director, poet, playwright and pedagogue Simeon Dimitrov.
The casting will take place on September 19 from 10:00 am and it is open to children and young people from 6 to 20 years of age. Applicants must prepare one work of their choice, a poem, a fable, an excerpt from a fairy tale or a short story. Training in the project has many benefits for the participants, even when they have not decided to engage in theater in the future. Simeon Dimitrov graduated in Bulgarian philology and philosophy at the prestigious Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Followed by directing and acting at VITIZ "Krastyo Sarafov". After graduation he was invited to work as a director at the Adriana Budevska Drama Theater in Burgas. Subsequently he was a director in the theaters of Varna, Plovdiv, Sofia. He was a lecturer at VITIZ Sofia, the Music Academy Plovdiv, the National School of Arts Burgas. He has won an award from the Bulgarian Union of Artists, an award from the Ministry of Culture and a number of other national awards for directing, including chamber music and performances with children. He has a nomination for Askeer. Printed poetry in literary editions. He has published several books of poetry. He has been awarded for dramaturgy and is the winner of the Golden Danube Pen Literary Prize for Poetry. Simeon Dimitrov is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Writers and is an honorary citizen of the city of Burgas.
The project is designed to work with talented and curious children who are interested in the field of theater, cinema and media arts and is a unique opportunity for all Burgas children to touch the great talent of Simeon Dimitrov.
During the training, various events, competitions, specializations, theater holidays and festivals are planned.
