Here is what the organizers of the Olympiad shared: "The children of Burgas competed in all areas of Informatics from applications of information technology, through types of algorithms to difficult programming tasks. Creative and exciting solutions showed by the little ones in a task in which for one hour the story "Grandpa pulls out a turnip" comes to life in the Scratch visual-block programming environment or optional software (e.g. Kodu, App Inventor, Alice, etc.). The winners created animations with the characters, even sounding the dialogues in different voices; added music, and one of the participants even made a final stage all at the table. ", commented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Penka Georgieva, program coordinator of the Program Council for "Informatics and Computer Science" at Burgas Free University, and Mrs. Sonya Dimova, Deputy Director of PPMG "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov" added that "in this competition the children of Burgas again showed that there are no secrets for them in the field of informatics and its applications. The high results in all groups are proof of that. "

"The alumni of PPMG Acad. Nikola Obreshkov" won 7 medals and again showed that they are not only the best mathematicians, but also among the best computer scientists in Burgas. We are extremely happy that students from other schools: PGSAG "К. Ficheto", PGEE "K. Fotinov", OU "A. Georgiev Kodzhakafaliyata" , PS "P. K. Yavorov" and SU "Dimcho Debelyanov" performed excellently and won prizes at the Olympiad. We are glad that with the establishment of this important competition forum we have been able for many years to stimulate the interest of young people in Burgas and the region to new technologies, to highlight their importance in modern education and to unite the efforts of schools, training centers, universities and institutions." summarized Liliana Slavova, chairwoman of the Chance for Children and Nature of Bulgaria Foundation and initiator of the Olympiad.

The official awarding of the young computer scientists will take place on 18.06.2021 at 18:30 on the open stage "Snail". All finalists will receive their medals and diplomas, and for the first places will be provided a prize from the company TechnoLogica EAD, partners of the organizers.
